Which method is best for you? This depends very much on your situation. Below table gives a first overview, followed by a summary for each method.

It is totally safe to children and pets, and one of the few methods where no harm is done to any animals. Unfortunately, the method can be expensive and involve a lot of effort in some cases. This vole and mole eradication method is usually an effective way to get rid of the rodents in a short period. Cost and effort are relatively low compared to other methods. Long-term protection usually requires repeated application of the poison. Using vole poison is controversial from an environmental and animal friendliness point of view. Working out how to trap voles and moles alive is not too difficult if you follow some simple rules. This vole and mole eradication method can be an effective low-cost method to protect your plants and lawns in environmentally friendly way. But live trapping does require a significant amount of effort … and may not always work perfectly. This vole and mole eradication method will require some technique, effort and stamina. On the plus side, this method is quite cheap and you can be virtually rodent-free after a few weeks. Even though the animals are killed, many would say this method of vole control is one of the more environmentally friendly ones. Unless you are only trying to protect a small area or a few specific plants, this can unfortunately also become quite an expensive approach to mole and vole control. (However, ongoing costs and effort are close to zero … so you only have to fork out the money once … and you will be free of voles and moles for years to come.) Compared to other methods, vibration devices are easy to set up. They are safe with kids and pets and generally friendly to the environment. Sound devices can be effective vole and mole eradication method if spaced at the right distance. Unfortunately they are also one of the most expensive ways to protect your plants from voles … unless where the area is small or only a few plants need to be protected. Unlike most other methods, sound devices are easy to set up. They are generally friendly to animals and the environment, and safe to humans and pets. Mole and vole repellents are an effective method to control these rodents … but only if used thoroughly and frequently. Unfortunately this often means high cost and high effort. A big advantage is the fact that most vole and mole repellents are very friendly to animals and the environment. Once you have learned how to kill a mole with this device, you will be rodent free within hours. However, this effective vole and mole eradication device comes at its price (>$1000). It is not friendly to the environment and requires very strict safety guidelines. (It is actually forbidden in many places.) In some cases, fumigation can be an effective short-term vole and mole eradication method. However, there is no guarantee … especially if the affected area is big. This method generally works better with voles than with moles. In any case, this approach to killing moles does not work long-term as the rodents tend to come back quickly. This vole and mole eradication method is cheap, fast and easy to do. Fumigation is one of the least environmentally friendly mole and vole control methods … and is consequently prohibited by law in many places.
